Biography

Ms. Rodriguez is a professionally trained international classical sculptor and teacher, specialized in the most challenging of all subjects, the human figure and horses. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from SFSU, she moved to Europe where her fervor for classical sculpture flourished, having the opportunity to study Europe’s best art collections. A few years later, after her returned to the U.S., she pursued her classical sculpture training and stone carving for 5 years under the tutelage of international Master Sculptor Harriet Moore, earning a “Master Sculptor Graduate Certificate from Harriet Moore Atelier". Since 1996 Ms. Rodriguez has been sharing her knowledge and passion teaching the only privately taught "Classical Figure Sculpture Class with Professional Model" from her studio in San Francisco, California. She offers weekend sculpture workshops, private consultations, critiques worldwide and teaches sculpture at Waldorf high school in San Francisco. She is repeatedly invited to give live sculpture demonstrations at the prestigious California Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco. Author of “An Artist Guide to Proportions and Measurement of the Skeletal System", a 232 page book with over 200 original illustrations. A must have for all artists interested in increasing their knowledge of the human skeletal system and essential relative proportions.

Ms. Rodriguez's is recognized by her powerful style and strong sense of movement, depth, and elegance that is easily recognized throughout her work. To protect and increase the value of her collector’s artwork, her bronze sculptures are deliberately kept to true “Limited Editions” of nine (9). Her horses have won "National Competitions" and "Best in Show Awards,” and her work can be found in private collections worldwide. Her work is featured in various art galleries worldwide, and she also collaborates with art agents, landscape architects, city planners and private collectors in creating original commissioned sculptures and outdoor fountains.

All private and public commissions of any size and subject matter will be considered. Juried in as a "Living Artist" by Artrenewal.org, one of the most prestigious and selective site for "Accomplished Classical Artists" around the world.
