In his first exhibition showed paintings and drawings. At first for his sculptures he used exclusively mud, then worked his works in bronze and in recent years has gone beyond the traditional methods in sculpture, by using polyester resin mixed with organic materials such as snuff, land, seeds amaranth, rose petals or dried meat fibers, adding in the same work, the industrial and artificial plastic, in contrast to the organic, natural and subtle to the other materials. The increasing presence of large-scale pieces in public spaces, part of a contemporary design strongly about urban intervention.Public works of Marin opens to the physical and human context that surrounds it, proposing alternative readings of this and of itself. Exploration leads to various places and experiences, encouraging continuous feedback. In his creative work, Javier Marín is in a constant exploration of human interactions and finding a sense of balance, both in form and concept.
"Javier Marin's work revolves around the whole human being: being shown live, throbbing, with bodies that have violated and broken, yet dignified and proud, but not fragile strengthened. They skin and flesh marks of existence: everlasting confrontation seeming opposites. The choice of material and the bill of each piece, which leaves visible marks on them, are a substantial part of the way Marin conceives his art.
